Considered the progenitor of modern sculpture, until his death in 1917, Rodin produced a body of work that broke with the sculpture of his time. He mostly worked out of his workshop at the Hôtel Biron in Paris, which has now been converted into the Rodin museum.A compact and easily accessible museum, it is one of Paris's leading attractions. The museum hosts most of Rodin's most significant creations, such as "The Thinker", "The Kiss", "The Gates of Hell, "Ugolino"amongst others. Apart from Rodin's creations, one can also find in here, his lifetime collection of paintings (including that of Renoir, VanGogh, Munch and others) and his Greek antiquities collection. There is also a gallery dedicated to Camille Claudel, Rodin's muse, student, lover and a great female artist of her time.
